Working principle

The working principle of the safety light curtain, where the transmitter is battery-powered and the receiver is powered through wiring, is as follows:

1. Transmitter: The battery-powered transmitter consists of a light source and a receiver. The light source emits infrared beams, creating a safety light screen. The transmitter sends the infrared beams to the receiver, forming an infrared light curtain.

2. Receiver: The receiver is powered through wiring. It captures the infrared beams from the transmitter while monitoring the integrity of the light curtain. When an object enters the infrared light curtain and obstructs the beams, the receiver detects the interruption of the signal.

3. Signal Processing: The received signal undergoes processing in the signal processing unit, converting the blocked information into an electrical signal. This electrical signal indicates that the light curtain has been obstructed, signifying the presence of an object in the safety zone.

4. Triggering Safety Measures: Upon detecting the interruption of the light beams, the system triggers corresponding safety measures, such as halting the operation of adjacent machinery or sounding an alarm.
